COMES TO FARGO/MOORHEAD
Lead investor Bob Naegele, Jr. and Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman come to town to share excitement of professional hockey returning to Minnesota! [July 3, 1997] -- It was quite a day in Fargo/Moorhead today as Minnesota Hockey NHL came to town to help share the excitement of NHL Hockey returning to the state. "The response we've received for season ticket reservations has been enormous," said Bob Naegele, Jr. "In just 5 days we received more than 6,000 season ticket reservations and they're still coming in strong. Hockey fans who want priority seating numbers should get their reservations in now!" According to Naegele, Jr., the NHL requires that 12,000 season ticket reservations be received by the time the team starts play in the year 2000. The fact that the half-way mark has been reached in less than a week shows the strong level of support for NHL Hockey in Minnesota and the region. Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman joined Naegele, Jr., on the trip, as did State Senator Randy Kelly, State Representative Alice Hausman, State Representative Harry Mares and Saint Paul City Council member Mike Harris. Coleman reiterated the team's enthusiasm for the response from hockey fans. "We always knew that hockey's return would generate great excitement from fans," explained Coleman. "Bob and his entire organization have been true to their word that this team doesn't belong to just Saint Paul but to the whole state and region. It's an exciting time for all of us." While season ticket reservations continue to be in high demand, there is still a good supply of good seat locations in what will be a state-of-the-art hockey arena. And, fans who want season ticket reservations have several ways to secure those reservations but should act now to ensure that they get the best seats available.
