ELECTED OFFICIALS TO CONDUCT STATEWIDE HOCKEY OUTREACH
Bob Naegele, Jr., Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman, local legislators and council members to visit Duluth, Eveleth, Fargo/Moorhead, Grand Rapids and Rochester. [July 2, 1997] -- True to their word, officials representing Minnesota Hockey NHL are bringing Minnesota's new NHL team to Minnesota and surrounding states. On Thursday, July 3, lead investor Bob Naegele, Jr., Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman and several other legislators and council members will travel on a statewide tour to inform hockey fans of what the future holds for NHL Hockey for the entire region. Season ticket reservation demand for the new expansion franchise has been enormous, with more than 6,000 season ticket reservations being made within less that a week - a number which reaches the halfway mark of the NHL requirement of 12,000 season ticket reservations made by the year 2000, and reservations are still coming in strong! Lead investor, Bob Naegele, Jr., said he is thrilled by the early results but wants to ensure that hockey fans throughout the state have the opportunity to reserve prime season ticket priority numbers so they can select the seat they want. While there are still many good seats available they are going quickly. The following is the itinerary for the July 3 Minnesota Hockey Outreach fly-around. Check with airport authorities for specific rooms upon arrival:
