WILD SURPASSES 11,000 SEASON TICKET DEPOSIT MARK
[November 2, 1998] -- The National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today the club has surpassed 11,000 season ticket deposits, 23 months before the team begins play and before suites and club seats have gone on sale. The club must reach 12,000 season tickets (including suites and club seats) by March 31, 2000, according to NHL expansion guidelines. The Minnesota Wild began taking season ticket deposit reservations on June 26, 1997 and begins play in the 2000-2001 NHL season. "We are delighted Minnesota hockey fans continue to show their enthusiastic support for the NHL's return to Hockey Country USA," said Minnesota Wild CEO Jac K. Sperling. "Our goal is to produce a winning product on the ice and to be a key supporter in the growth of grass roots hockey in Minnesota." The team is currently accepting $100 non-refundable season ticket deposits for each season ticket requested. This deposit will be used as partial payment for season tickets when the seat selection process occurs in the fall of 1999.
