National Hockey League Club One Year From Inaugural 2000-2001 NHL Season
[October 5, 1999] -- The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that the club has surpassed 13,000 season ticket deposits, 12 months before the team begins play in the 18,600 seat new Saint Paul Arena. The club must secure 12,000 paid-in-full season tickets (including suites and club level seats) by March 31, 2000, according to NHL expansion guidelines. The club anticipates having 15,000 season ticket holders by October 2000 for the inaugural 2000-2001 NHL season.
“The National Hockey League’s return to Minnesota is less than a year away and hockey fans continue to show their enthusiastic support for the return of the greatest hockey players in the world,” said Minnesota Wild CEO Jac Sperling.
The team will continue to accept a $100 non-refundable deposit for each season ticket. The deposit is used as a reservation for season tickets when the seat selection process begins in late 1999.
