NHL'S MINNESOTA WILD VOLUNTEERS FOR LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAM

 

[October 27, 1999] -- The National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that for the second consecutive year front office staff are volunteering at the Cherokee Heights Elementary School in Saint Paul for the Help One Student To Succeed (HOSTS) Program. This on-going volunteer program is designed to assist the academic, social and emotional growth of students. The Minnesota Wild will begin their second year of the HOSTS mentoring program on Monday, November 1st.

"The Minnesota Wild is once again excited to participate in the HOSTS mentoring program," said Minnesota Wild CEO Jac Sperling. "It's great opportunity for the Wild to give back to the Minnesota community and have a positive impact on the education of today's youth."
